About Us
We are a Brunswick raised brother and sister team whose affinity for Maine is as deep as the Atlantic ocean. It was in that ocean that we lost our father David during a triathlon in Cape Elizabeth. David Aschauer, from which Dasch gets its name, was many things: father, teacher, economist, yogi, runner, cyclist, Russian scholar, learner, life-long adventurer, and celiac.
To us he passed along his love for the Maine outdoors and a growing intolerance to all things gluten. And so, we created Dasch as a fitting tribute to our father: gluten free and perfect for a day of adventure. Whether you are wrapping up a day of hiking in the north Maine woods, tying off after a quiet sail along the coast, or are enjoying company at your favorite bar, Dasch will heighten your experience.
